A fifth of retired people are disappointed by retirement, citing reasons such as not being able to afford things, being less physically active, and feeling undervalued. At Home Instead Colchester, we have a range of retired Care Professionals who enjoy their responsibilities and flexible working hours.
We are looking for kind, compassionate individuals who want to make a real difference in the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Colchester as Care Professionals. In this role, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help clients stay independent in their own homes.

However, experience in a care setting or interacting with older people—such as caring for a family member or volunteering—would be beneficial. You should have a passion for supporting others, pride in delivering outstanding service, and qualities such as reliability, trustworthiness, and respect. Enjoying building professional friendships and being comfortable spending time with others are important traits.
No formal qualifications are required; full training will be provided to achieve the Care Certificate. Experience in care or with older adults is advantageous but not essential.
As a Care Professional, you will receive industry-leading training, competitive pay rates, pension contributions, paid travel and waiting time, a Blue Light Card offering major retailer discounts, a £200 bonus for successful referrals, high street discount vouchers via the Home Instead app, and excellent support.
