Job Description
A fifth of retired people are disappointed by retirement, citing reasons such as not being able to afford things, reduced physical activity, and feeling undervalued. At Home Instead Colchester, we have a range of previously retired Care Professionals who enjoy their responsibilities and flexible working hours.
We are seeking kind, compassionate individuals who want to make a genuine difference in the lives of our clients to join our team in Colchester as Care Professionals. In this role, you will provide various non-medical services to help clients stay independent in their own homes.
No experience or specific qualifications are necessary to become a Care Professional. Experience in care settings or interacting with older people—such as caring for family members or voluntary work—is beneficial. You should have a passion for supporting others, pride in delivering outstanding service, and be reliable, trustworthy, and respectful. Enjoying building professional relationships and being comfortable spending time with others are important qualities.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required; full training is provided to obtain the care certificate. Prior experience in care settings or with older individuals is advantageous but not mandatory. A passion for supporting others and a commitment to excellent service are essential. Reliability, trustworthiness, and respectfulness are key traits. You should enjoy forming professional friendships and feel comfortable spending time in the company of others.
Additional Information
As a Care Professional, you will benefit from industry-leading training, competitive pay rates, pension contributions, paid travel and waiting time, a blue light card offering major retailer discounts, a £200 bonus for successful care professional referrals, high street discount vouchers via the Home Instead app, and excellent support.
If you seek a rewarding and satisfying role with high flexibility to meet clients' needs, we would love to hear from you.
