Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking Disability Assessors to join hybrid teams in Hitchin with remote options across the south of England. The role includes home and office work, a 12-week training, and a £50,000 starting salary with a generous bonus scheme and benefits.

You will assess nurses, occupational therapists and physiotherapists by phone and in person, compile reports for the DWP, and maintain 9–5 hours Mon–Fri with part-time options after training.

• Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in an adult setting
• At least 1 year of active registration
• Strong communication, assessment, typing/report-writing and IT skills are essential

Salary:

WCA Disability Assessor (5/6 shorter assessments per day) - £48,000 + Excellent Bonus Scheme

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Please note there are part-time hours available (after full-time training) for the WCA role.

Role Overview:

• Conduct Assessments:Evaluate claimants' health and/or work capabilities via phone and face-to-face assessments.
• Review Evidence:analyse medical evidence, health questionnaires, and daily living activities.
• Compile Reports:Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Training Program:

Successful candidates will complete a 12-week comprehensive training programcovering (amongst other things):

• Assessment Techniques:Best practices for accurate evaluations.
• DWP Guidelines:Requirements and guidelines of the Department for Work and Pensions.
• Report Writing:Skills for detailed and objective reporting.
