Job summary

Maven Group Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Disability Assessor (NMC HCPC registered) to join a patient‑focused team. You will conduct 3–4 assessments daily via telephone, video or in person, collecting information to produce precise reports used by the DWP to determine eligibility.

This is a well‑established role with excellent training and support, offering hybrid/home working, and a competitive package including pension and CPD revalidation assistance.

Qualifications

• NMC or HCPC registration and post‑registration experience.
• Evidence of broad post‑registration clinical work.
• Able to work across telephone, video and face‑to‑face assessments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 3–4 client assessments per day across channels.
• Gather information and produce factual reports for DWP decisions.
• Communicate findings clearly and maintain accurate records.

• Excellent starting salary at £39,500pa
• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours

What does the PIP Disability Assessor role involve?

The PIP Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 to 4 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for the claim. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience
• Someone who is proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
