Job Description:

We are currently hiring for a Director/VP Export Finance at HSBC Infrastructure Finance.

As a Director or Vice President in the Export Finance team, you will be responsible for origination and execution of Agency supported financing in various markets in the Americas. You will coordinate with ECAs and MDBs based in the Americas and other regions, working closely with regional Export Finance teams. You will report to the Regional Head of the Export Finance Americas business.

You will periodically travel to the region and collaborate with the global team across all sub-sectors and borrower profiles, including Sovereign, Corporate, and limited recourse project finance. You will work with the global Export Finance team, relationship managers, product partners, ECAs, MDBs, and Borrowers to originate, structure, and arrange Agency supported financing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing strategies to grow the Export Finance business in key American markets, achieving financial, capital, risk, resourcing, and operational objectives.
• Engaging with clients and agencies (ECA, DFI, MDB, etc.) across the Americas, from origination to portfolio management.
• Exhibiting leadership qualities and managing junior team members to deliver optimal outcomes.
• Acting autonomously in origination and execution to identify and pitch new opportunities.
• Ensuring the business operates within HSBC’s risk and compliance frameworks.

• Industry experience and understanding of ECA, MDB, and DFI finance markets.
• Proven track record in originating, structuring, and executing Agency-supported financings.
• Strong communication, analytical, credit, and reputational risk skills.
