WTW is seeking a Director in its UK Property & Casualty Consulting Practice to lead underwriting transformation for commercial and specialty insurers. You will partner with senior executives to drive data-driven decision-making, portfolio performance, and digital modernization across complex client engagements.

The role combines underwriting expertise with consulting excellence, delivering innovative client solutions and shaping growth in a dynamic insurance market. Hybrid working is supported.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial and/or specialty insurance underwriting experience.
• Ability to influence senior executives and build trusted relationships with underwriting leadership.
• Experience leading complex programmes involving operational change, digital transformation, or technology implementation.
• Strong understanding of emerging underwriting trends, data enrichment and analytics.
• Proven commercial mindset with experience supporting business development and client propositions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Commitment to inclusive leadership, coaching and developing diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale underwriting transformation programmes for commercial and specialty insurers.
• Advise C-suite executives on underwriting strategy, portfolio performance and digital initiatives.
• Drive data-driven decisioning to improve risk selection and underwriting efficiency.
• Grow client relationships and identify new consulting opportunities and revenue,
• Lead development of underwriting consulting propositions and market insights.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Mentor and develop colleagues to build a high-performing, inclusive culture.
