Job summary

Verian Group is seeking an experienced Director for the Trials team to lead the design and delivery of randomised controlled trials and online experiments. You will provide technical leadership on trial design and work with clients across policy areas, supporting business development and mentoring a growing team.

You’ll oversee project delivery, ensure high-quality research outputs, and manage relationships with government departments, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and delivering RCTs, including field trials or online experiments for policymakers.
• Ability to provide technical advice on trial design.
• Experience working with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality trials.
• Experience leading and supporting project teams.
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Skilled in statistical analysis.
• Experience with tender/RFP documents and writing proposals.
• Experience conducting literature reviews.
• Knowledgeable about a particular policy area(s).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of randomised controlled trials and online experiments.
• Provide technical leadership and advice on trial design methodologies.
• Oversee both the impact and IPE strands of field trials and be responsible for their integration at all stages of the project.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality trials.
• Lead and support project teams responsible for day-to-day delivery.
• Produce high-quality research outputs and communicate findings to a range of audiences.
• Contribute to business development through proposals, pitches and new opportunities.
• Oversee multiple projects while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
