Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an Associate Director – Transport in the UK, based in Edinburgh or Glasgow. You will lead transport planning for major highways and infrastructure, manage project delivery, budgets and client communications, and mentor team members within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role requires Chartered status (ICE/CIHT preferred) and extensive experience in transport planning for development projects and major National Highways or Local Authority initiatives.

Qualifications

• You should hold an HNC/degree in Civil Engineering or a similar construction-related qualification.
• Ideally Chartered professional status with ICE or CIHT is preferred.
• Extensive experience of producing and managing transport planning inputs into development projects and major National Highways or County Council-led projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project progress, quality and finances while coordinating transport planning inputs.
• Instruct, supervise and check transport planning input from internal teams and external sub-consultants.
• Mentor colleagues in transport planning and project management.
• Lead transport planning inputs to complex local, regional and nationally important infrastructure and development projects.
