Position Overview:

We are hiring a Sales Director to lead the charge in developing high-value strategic relationships across key verticals, including Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Banks & EMIs, and Lending (Retail & Business).

Reporting into the SVP of Sales, this is a senior individual contributor role, designed for a commercially driven operator who can work cross-regionally and cross-functionally. You will focus on high-potential targets and strategic partnerships that align with Yapily's growth ambitions. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, data-informed, and fluent in the language of Open Banking, payments, and platform-scale SaaS.

Requirements

  • Strategic Sales Execution: Own and drive complex sales cycles from origination through to contract across multiple geographies and verticals
  • Target Development: Build a named list of high-value strategic targets aligned to ICPs, including global and regional PSPs, digital banks, EMIs, and top-tier lenders
  • Cross-Regional Coordination: Partner with the UK and EU Sales Directors to ensure a coordinated go-to-market approach and prevent overlap or dilution of focus
  • Vertical Expertise: Develop deep market insight into one or more verticals (e.g. iGaming, embedded lending) to become a trusted advisor to prospects
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Influence multiple stakeholders across Product, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver a compelling value proposition
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust and data-driven sales pipeline using CRM best practices, with clear forecasting and deal hygiene

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6+ years in enterprise/B2B SaaS or fintech sales, with success in driving strategic deals across complex organisations
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong grasp of payments, Open Banking, or embedded finance. Experience selling to PSPs, banks, or lenders is highly desirable
  • Sales Excellence: Proven track record of exceeding quota in new business development roles; comfortable operating with ambiguity and independence
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to map accounts, develop tailored value propositions, and align Yapily's offering with customers' long-term goals
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth team environment. Willing to mentor others and contribute to the broader commercial strategy

Location & Travel:

  • This role is based in our London HQ, with hybrid working as standard. Occasional travel across the UK and Europe may be required
