Skills and Competencies

• Proven track record of building and scaling distributed, global engineering teams, with hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade systems
• Proficient with agile methodologies and modern software delivery best practices
• Deep technical expertise in modern software development practices and architectures; including cloud-native architecture, microservices, and secure software design
• Experience with modern web technologies and languages is essential: React/.Net Core preferred; experience with Rust is a plus
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems and processes
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with architectural decision-making and hands-on team support when required
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
• Extensive expertise in software engineering with AI, including agentic systems, with a track record of designing and delivering AI-powered and agent-based solutions that drive strategic transformation and engineering efficiency, and strong hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools and agentic frameworks to lead innovation and modernize the software development lifecycle
• Demonstrated leadership in managing AI-related risks, including agent autonomy, oversight, and security, while ensuring ethical governance and fostering a culture of responsible AI adoption across the organization

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead globally distributed engineering squads in a 70/30 leadership and hands-on role, driving AI-powered and agentic engineering to deliver secure, scalable software
• Build, scale, and lead multiple high-performing engineering squads across global locations, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Recruit, mentor, and develop diverse, inclusive talent while driving engagement and retention
• Drive engineering delivery and technical roadmap planning in partnership with engineering, product and business stakeholders
• Responsible for end-to-end delivery of product features across squads
• Lead architecture reviews and design sessions, and define and enforce engineering standards and best practices
• Mentor engineers hands-on through code reviews, technical workshops, and pair programming
• Apply AI-powered and agentic development tools to streamline coding, testing, and documentation
• Partner cross-functionally to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality software through robust processes and quality gates
• Represent engineering in leadership forums and shape long-term technical vision
