Vickerstock is recruiting a Director or Regional Director to lead the Water & Wastewater practice from our Coventry office. This senior role carries ownership of a growing pipeline of Design & Build water projects, with autonomy to shape strategy and growth, and a strong rewards package including performance bonus and profit share.

The successful candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, chartered status, extensive senior experience in water/wastewater, and a proven track record in winning

Director / Regional Director | Water & Wastewater

Vickerstock are working with an established engineering consultancy to appoint a Director or Regional Director to lead their Water & Wastewater work from their Coventry office. This is a critical, senior appointment. The business has a growing pipeline of Design & Build water and wastewater projects, and is looking for a leader to take ownership of that pipeline, grow the business and win new work. It is a role with genuine autonomy. You'll have the freedom to shape how the water business grows, with the rewards to match, including performance-related bonus and profit share.

Your new role as Director / Regional Director

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of the Design & Build water and wastewater project pipeline
• Building and developing relationships with contractors, clients and key stakeholders
• Winning new work and converting opportunities into secured projectsShaping and delivering the growth strategy for the water business
• Leading bids, proposals and commercial negotiations
• Providing senior technical and commercial leadership across projects
• Building, leading and developing the engineering team
• Maintaining technical governance, quality and commercial performance

What you will need to succeed

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Chartered status
• Significant senior experience in the water and wastewater sector
• Experience of Design & Build delivery, ideally working with or alongside contractors
• A proven track record of winning work and developing client relationships
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams
• Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to own business growth
• An established network in the water and wastewater market would be a real advantage
