Job summary

IonQ, including Oxford Ionics, is seeking an experienced software engineering director to lead a growing software team responsible for the control, monitoring, and compiler stack powering quantum computers. You will define the software architecture, drive development standards, and scale the team to meet ambitious research and product delivery goals.

You'll work with world-class software engineers and quantum scientists to ensure high-quality software across real-time control, Python/Rust

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a software organisation with tens of engineers and subject matter experts.
• Ability to set priorities, manage expectations, and deliver for internal and external customers.
• Familiarity with end-to-end software stack and cross-team collaboration in a high-tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve internal team processes and devops practices as the stack grows.
• Lead the software team and collaborate with other technical groups to build long-term roadmaps.
