Job summary
Oxford Ionics, part of IonQ, is seeking a technically fluent Technical Programme Manager to own silicon device development programmes within our quantum computing roadmap. You will translate complex technical work into clear plans, milestones, and predictable delivery while collaborating with physicists and engineers across multiple sites.
You’ll build delivery rhythms, track dependencies, surface risks, and provide decision-ready reporting to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience delivering complex hardware programmes, ideally in chip design, silicon devices, or semiconductor manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Own the programme execution for silicon device development within the quantum computing roadmap.
- Build delivery plans, tracking dependencies, surfacing risks, and producing decision-ready reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams across physics, engineering, and partner sites; manage scope, schedule, budget, and dependencies.
- Establish cadences and executive dashboards to keep leaders informed with accurate, timely information.
- Travel up to 20% to support on-site collaboration at partner sites as needed.
