Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a dynamic Director, Pharmacovigilance Alliance Contracting and Management, to lead global contractual PV activities from High Wycombe with a planned move to Maidenhead. The role is hybrid with three days on-site weekly, requiring collaboration across IM OCMO and external partners to deliver compliant, optimized PV alliances.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including 8 years within a drug safety environment with Pharmacovigilance operational responsibilities.
• Deep knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations, industry standards, and PV alliance governance.
• Proven people leadership experience, including talent development, coaching, performance management, and fostering high-performing teams.
• Ability to negotiate Pharmacovigilance Agreements and safety-related contractual terms, with strong influence.
• Experience leading strategic alliances, business partnerships, or governance in pharma/biotech.
• Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, risk management, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management skills and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead global PV agreements negotiations and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Oversee PV Alliance Contracting function and develop talent.
• Support alliance governance and risk management across PV collaborations.
• Advise senior leaders on PV contractual obligations and governance.
• Govern PV templates with Legal and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Identify and manage PV-related risks with escalation processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of digital tools in PV contracting.
• Establish performance measures for alliance health and compliance.
