Job summary

Genius Sports is seeking a Director to lead the combined Product Security and Security Operations function. You will embed security across engineering, set the strategy for threat detection and incident response, and translate cyber risk into business risk for executive leadership.

This leadership role requires strong experience in both product security and SecOps, guiding a global, high-ownership team in a regulated sports data and betting environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity with depth in both product security and security operations.
• Proven leadership of security engineering or SOC teams — including distributed, multi-region teams.
• Expert-level knowledge of secure SDL frameworks (OWASP SAMM, NIST SSDF), threat modelling, and security architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation from fragmented tasks to a mature ProdSecOps program.
• Define and lead the product security framework and cyber risk mapping to business value.
• Own threat detection, incident response, and security operations across cloud, apps, and infra.
• Oversee security tooling lifecycle and reduce noise across teams.
• Communicate security strategy and risk to executive leadership.
