Job summary

National Wealth Fund is seeking an experienced Director to manage and enhance the portfolio of loans, guarantees and equity, including high-growth ventures. You will lead a portfolio team, influence risk practices, and guide investment committees to deliver returns aligned with the Fund's mission.

The role requires strategic governance, robust financial analysis, and strong stakeholder engagement across government, co-investors and portfolio companies.

Qualifications

• Experience managing portfolios and leading teams in infrastructure or similar contexts.
• Strong governance, risk management and capital allocation capabilities.
• Proven ability to analyse valuations and financial projections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee key portfolio projects and engage sponsors and fund managers to mitigate risk.
• Represent the Fund on investee boards, guiding governance and exits.
• Provide portfolio analysis to monitor concentration risk and returns.
• Contribute to design of Portfolio Management systems and infrastructure.
• Lead valuation reviews and oversee financial models and sensitivity analyses.
• Manage portfolio managers to drive high returns and meet Fund objectives.
• Coordinate documentation, covenant testing and financial projections.
• Prepare reports for Investment and Credit Committees.
