Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline in the United Kingdom is seeking a Pharmaceutical Modelling Lead to shape reimbursement and access strategies through advanced economic models across therapeutic areas. You will partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external experts to develop cost-effectiveness, public health impact, and budget-impact analyses for launch readiness and HTA submissions.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Pharma Modelling Lead, the role is hybrid with 2–3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a health discipline with relevance to health economics or pharmacoeconomics.
• Experience leading development of economic models and outcomes/health economics research.
• Proven HTA submissions or reimbursement dossier contributions.
• Partnerships with Commercial, Market Access and R&D functions.
• Technical modelling skills with software and programming (R, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of global models for medicines preparing for launch/HTA reimbursement applications.
• Drive innovation through engagement with external experts and HTA bodies.
• Lead early economic models to inform development and trial design.
• Deliver materials to inform internal governance decisions.
• Act as in-house expert for modelling, HTA requirements and payer evidence needs.
• Represent modelling in scientific advice meetings and cross-functional teams.
