Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an Associate Director/Director in Civil Engineering to lead the civil engineering team across Yorkshire, with bases in Leeds or York. The role focuses on strategic direction, strong client relationships, and delivering high-value projects from residential developments to infrastructure schemes.

You will mentor engineers, oversee project delivery, and contribute to business growth in a collaborative, expanding consultancy.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Engineer with CEng/MICE or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading civil teams and managing projects.
• Commercial awareness with a track record of winning work.
• Desirable experience in marine, flood alleviation or coastal projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering output and mentor teams across the Leeds and York offices.
• Oversee delivery of projects ensuring quality, programme and commercial success.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and win new work.
• Collaborate with architects, planners, local authorities and statutory bodies.
• Contribute to business planning, proposals and growth.
