Lorum is seeking a high-agency partnerships lead in London to build and scale its partnerships business with core banking providers. You will craft a go-to-market strategy, identify opportunities across markets, and drive revenue through bank partnerships.
You will report to the CRO and collaborate with the sales team to convert opportunities into revenue. The role offers a blank canvas to shape a new revenue line for Lorum, with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
This is a hybrid role that requires 4 days/week in our London office (Fitzrovia)
The structural conflict at the centre of correspondent banking is not technological. It is economic. Banks earn revenue from their balance sheets: they lend deposits, capture FX spreads, and hold funds as long as it is rational to do so. Clearing, the act of releasing funds quickly and predictably, competes directly with those economics. An institution designed to lend has a structural incentive to hold deposits; an institution designed to clear has an incentive to release them. When one institution does both, clearing loses. The result is unpredictable settlement, trapped capital, and a correspondent network shrinking by design.
Lorum was founded on a different premise: clearing as the business, not a byproduct. The model has been operational since 2023 and grew 55x in 2025, with USD clearing now the majority of volumes alongside a growing treasury offering. We have applied for a U.S. national trust bank charter. The people we hire now will build the clearing and treasury infrastructure it unlocks.
You will build Lorum's partnerships business from the ground up, starting with core banking providers.
The model is simple and powerful. We integrate once with a core banking provider, and every bank on that platform can use Lorum. We've validated the opportunity. Now we need someone who knows this world to come onboard and build it for us.
Core banking is the starting point, not the limit. You'll work across multiple markets, and we'll lean on you to spot new partnership angles wherever they make sense for Lorum. You'll report to Yasmin Bayat, Chief Revenue Officer, and work closely with our sales team, who will take the bank opportunities you create through to close.
You'll be our first partnership’s hire, shaping a revenue line in your own way rather than inheriting someone else's playbook. The scope is deliberately open: you'll spot where partnerships can grow Lorum and turn the best of them into real revenue.
This is for someone with high agency who wants a blank canvas. Lorum moves fast and changes constantly. You need to be comfortable with ambiguity, focused on outcomes, and happy to roll up your sleeves - conferences, cold outreach, on-site visits - as well as set the strategy.
