Penguin Recruitment is supporting a leading independent planning consultancy in Cardiff to appoint a Director of Planning. You will lead projects, manage client relationships and contribute to the growth of the Cardiff office.

You will mentor teams, provide strategic planning advice, supervise complex applications and appeals, and help shape the consultancy's wider direction while working in a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualified with significant planning consultancy experience.
• Operating at Associate Director, Director or equivalent level.
• Experienced across a broad range of sectors and planning projects.
• Confident managing complex planning matters and providing strategic advice.
• Commercially astute with client management and business development.
• Able to develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Experienced people manager with mentoring skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ambitious, proactive and focused on growth of the Cardiff office.

Responsibilities

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading independent planning consultancy in the appointment of a Director of Planning to join their growing Cardiff team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take on a senior leadership position within an ambitious and people-focused consultancy. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading projects, developing client relationships, supporting the growth of the Cardiff office and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.

The Role
