Role overview: The postholder will lead the delivery and support of technology products and services for the Cultural Engagement business unit, supporting the British Council’s international work in arts, culture, education, and English language programs.
This role involves providing technology consultancy, partnering with teams on international collaboration, acting as a senior leader and liaison within Digital & Technology, and managing technology resources.
Role context: The Digital and Technology team fosters a digitally enabled, customer-centric organization, empowering staff with digital skills, and ensuring inclusivity and innovation across the organization.
The Product division is central to the British Council’s digital evolution, ensuring a customer-focused vision and strategy across products and technology solutions.
The role collaborates closely with the Cultural Engagement Strategic Business Unit, delivering programs aligned with strategic objectives and managing technology needs within this portfolio.
Responsibilities include advocating for technology needs, championing user experience, evaluating new technologies, defining digital strategies, overseeing end-to-end delivery, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with policies.
