Director of Sales – Hospitality – Competitive Salary + Benefits – Salisbury, SP1 3TE

The Role

Are you an experienced sales leader with a strong background in hospitality? Do you thrive on driving commercial results and creating valuable client relationships?

Milford Hall Hotel Salisbury —soon to be voco Salisbury—is looking for a confident and strategic Director of Sales to lead our commercial efforts. This is an exciting time to join as we transition to the IHG voco brand, bringing a fresh, stylish experience to Salisbury’s hotel scene.

This full-time role is a key position at Milford Hall Hotel, operating under the expert management of Brightstar Hospitality, a UK-based company with a reputation for delivering excellence across its growing portfolio.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the sales strategy. You will lead business development efforts, focusing on securing corporate, MICE, and group business to drive revenue into Milford Hall Hotel Salisbury. Your ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders will be essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Lead the creation and delivery of the sales strategy for corporate, group, and MICE segments.
  • Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and conduct sales presentations.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring excellent service and driving repeat business.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support the sales team, ensuring alignment between sales strategies and hotel operations.
  • Market Awareness: Monitor competitor activities and stay up to date with market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Reporting & Performance Analysis: Prepare and present sales reports, track KPIs, and provide insight into performance, continuously looking for areas of improvement.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within hospitality, specifically with corporate and MICE sales.
  • Has a strong track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering results.
  • Possesses excellent relationship management and communication skills.
  • Can lead on site team sales team.
  • Is commercially savvy with an in-depth understanding of the UK hospitality market.
  • Has proficiency in CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
