Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in London seeks a Senior Quantitative Analyst to develop and scale our cash equity algorithmic trading platform.

You will apply cutting-edge AI methods and quantitative finance to advance execution strategies across EMEA, delivering high-impact insights and scalable systems. You will backtest and prototype strategies using Python and kdb+/Q, collaborate with Sales Trading and Technology teams, and ensure governance with Risk, Compliance, and Legal.

Qualifications

• Extensive background in quantitative modeling or analytics for trading.
• Proven ability to apply statistics and finance to market data.
• Experience using AI to design high-performance trading applications.
• Strong communication for technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the cash equity execution platform using Java, Rust, and AI.
• Research EMEA equity microstructure and extract actionable insights.
• Backtest and prototype strategies with Python and kdb+/Q.
• Monitor trading performance and deliver quantitative insights to improve execution.
• Collaborate with Sales Trading, Execution Advisory, and tech teams.
• Work with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Finance to ensure governance.
• Maintain risk management and regulatory compliance throughout the trading process.
• Complete required registrations and licenses within timeframes.
