Job summary

Citi in London is seeking an Equity Quantitative Research Analyst to join our Equity Research team. You will develop quantitative models, integrate AI capabilities, and translate complex data into actionable investment insights for institutional clients.

The role combines equity research with machine learning and platform development, offering hybrid work and opportunities to advance scalable research tools and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with significant quantitative research experience or MSc/MEng/PhD in Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related quantitative discipline.
• Proficiency in programming (R/Python/Java) and modern quantitative libraries; strong SQL preferred.
• Knowledge of equity market structure and cross-sectional/time-series modelling; application of statistical and ML techniques to investment research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex quantitative concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain quantitative models to identify investment opportunities across global equity markets.
• Contribute to client-facing research reports and regular market updates.
• Design, maintain, and evolve the quantitative equity research platform; integrate AI capabilities and scalable research infrastructure.
• Conduct bespoke quantitative analyses to support internal and external stakeholders.
