Job summary

Hometrack is seeking a Director of Product Engineering to lead mission-critical product development for UK financial services. You will own the technology strategy, oversee delivery, and guide the evolution of core product lines with senior technology leadership.

This role partners with Product and wider stakeholders to shape a long-term roadmap, ensuring robust foundations and scalable capabilities for clients.

Qualifications

• Senior technology leadership experience (Head of/Director or equivalent) in financial services preferred.
• Experience owning and evolving complex, high-availability platforms.
• Ability to partner with Product leadership to shape long-term strategy.
• Strong background in software engineering (.NET/AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Own the technology strategy and ensure alignment with the broader platform and technology strategy.
• Provide senior oversight of product engineering teams to keep delivery on track as products evolve.
• Guide architectural decisions in partnership with Principal/Staff Engineers.
• Lead and develop engineers and engineering managers (software and data).
• Set clear expectations, coach teams, and foster a culture of ownership and delivery.
