Job summary

Ocado in Hatfield seeks a senior HR/People leader to partner with the COO and Operations LT, shaping people strategies and delivering aligned plans across the business. You will drive talent, engagement and organisational design initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

You will collaborate with COEs and the Shared Service Centre to ensure high-quality HR services and strategic advisory to senior leadership, while embedding Ocado's culture and inclusion agenda across the client group.

Qualifications

• Senior HR/People leadership experience, ideally at Director level
• Proven track record with COO/Executive Committee stakeholders
• Experience leading a strategic people agenda
• Experience partnering through COEs/SSCs or Shared Service Centres
• Strong change management and employee relations experience
• Experience in operational, logistics, manufacturing or fast-paced environments
• Data-driven mindset withPeople metrics awareness
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technology

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the strategic relationship with the COO and Operations LT
• Provide joined-up partnering support across People Partners, COEs and SSC
• Lead creation and delivery of people strategies aligned to Operations objectives
• Translate business strategy into a prioritised people plan
• Partner with People COEs to tailor solutions for Operations
• Coordinate with Shared Service Centre in Bulgaria for HR service delivery
• Coach COOs and LT on strategic people topics and workforce planning
• Use workforce data to inform evidence-based recommendations
• Lead major organisational change programmes within Operations
• Represent Operations needs within the People function
• Build cross-functional relationships with other People Partnering Directors
• Serve as escalation point for complex ER matters
• Role model Ocado's culture, values and inclusion agenda
