A leading company in the media industry seeks an Investment Director Senior to drive growth in commercial operations and build relationships with media owners and clients. The role includes supervising a team, managing procurement strategies, and ensuring high service levels while executing on KPIs and commercial targets.
Role Summary
The goal and mission of the Investment Director Senior is to support billups business initiatives and company objectives in Commercial and Investment operations to gain overall company growth. Support and lead billups UK delivery of pricing. Build and foster Media Owner and client relationships to expand the billups brand in UK, with a view to progress to the wider EMEA market. In addition, support the Team Leads in delivering on our client’s KPIs. Challenge the norms, deliver amazing, and move the world.
This person will be reporting into the Head of Commercial & Investment - EMEA, at times working with teams from the billups global network.
The Investment Directors main roles are to oversee the Senior Investment Managers purchasing of OOH campaigns and to create, change and maintain internal processes, always ensuring best in class standard.
Work closely with the planning team to be involved in the client briefs from initial conception to implementation. The Investment Team is part of the planning process, and the approach is one of thorough internal collaboration. The Investment Director will be responsible for media audits across key accounts allocated by Head of Commercial & Investment - EMEA, including leading in audit meetings.
Working closely with the Head of Commercial & Investment, the role will include day-to-day buying and overseeing junior members of the team while working closely with the planning teams, to ensure our client buying briefs are met, and to ensure our commercial interests are maintained. Lead development of junior members within the Investment team. You will also construct and implement buying strategies and policies on both an agency wide and client specific level. You will work closely with the Operations and Planning teams to monitor and change internal processes as the market and the way we buy changes.
Key external relationships are with all media owners (particularly at Account Director and Group Head level), auditors (internal and external) and Barter companies
Responsibilities
• Manage the Senior Investment Manager to ensure they are effectively delivering on all buying KPI’s and delivering a best in class service.
• Responsible for the trading & negotiation, agree & control price across bookings.
• Drive and lead deliverable on commercial and PRF targets across the group.
• Be responsible for developing and maintaining senior media owner contacts at Account Director and Group Head level.
• Hold strong relationships with Agencies, Clients and Auditors and internal agency tracking teams.
• Have responsibility for ensuring your business area is delivering the highest level of service to its clients and agencies.
• Lead and motivate your team, coaching and empowering the Investment team where required.
• Hold the necessary discussions with agencies at a senior level to highlight commercial advantages to their business.
• Be the spokesperson for your area of the business internally at billups.
• Drive and manage cross-company working parties or initiatives.
• Have an opinion on formats, environments and media owners and be innovative in approach.
• Have a thorough understanding and utilise all tools and systems.
• Responsibility for overseeing value initiatives.
• Lead or take a major role in all significant client/agency pitches across all areas of the company.
• Fill in relevant pitch grids where applicable.
• Ultimate responsibility for achieving commercial targets across your area of the business.

• Significant experience in an OOH, Media Owner and/or Agency environment.
• Negotiating and managing contract guarantee commitments.
• Managing external media auditor processes.
• Experience of managing junior members of a team.
• Experience managing and tracking data.
• Has the ability to build relationships internally and externally at different levels.
