Qualifikationen

• Honours degree in Communications or a related subject or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading strategic staff and/or student communications within a large, complex organisation.
• Deep knowledge of communications and engagement for staff and student audiences.
• Experience leading and evaluating communications for large cross-university projects and campaigns.
• Experience managing individuals and teams to high standards.
• Ability to provide guidance on communications during crises and change.
• Confident communicator able to build relationships at senior levels.
• Autonomy, strategic thinking and speed in planning.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Proven ability to use evidence and insight to improve service delivery.
• Knowledge of Higher Education sector and its challenges.

Aufgaben

• Develop the strategic approach for internal and student communications with measurable outcomes.
• Provide strategic leadership to Internal and Student Communications teams.
• Lead communications for large cross-university projects and change programmes.
• Oversee campaigns and initiatives to drive staff engagement and advocacy.
• Lead crisis and incident communications with training and support.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders including the Vice-Chancellor and executive leadership.
• Collaborate with peers and sector bodies to lead staff engagement across the sector.
• Ensure reporting, evaluation and continual improvement using evidence and insight.
• Represent the University on internal and external project teams and committees.
• Manage resources, budget, external agencies and suppliers efficiently.
