A leading UK consulting firm is seeking a Director of Group Commercial Finance to manage M&A activities and drive commercial growth strategies. Positioned at board level, this role requires strong analytical skills and effective communication to deliver financial reporting to diverse stakeholders. The firm, recognized for its innovative approach in the Manchester Tech Movement, offers a competitive salary of £105,000 - £130,000 along with generous benefits including a hybrid work model, 25 days of annual leave, and private medical coverage.
Otto James Consulting has been engaged in a Search and Selection Process for a new Director of Group Commercial Finance (M&A).
Our partner is one of the North West’s fastest growing organisations, and following Private Equity investment by CVC Capital Partners, the decision has been made to open up a board level appointment, to oversee Commercial Finance.
There is massive scope for our client to grow organically within the UK tech market, but there are now funds to fuel increased footprint through acquisitions.
The role Director of Group Commercial Finance (M&A) is integral to the board's growth plans, and the landscape for H1 2026 will sit firmly in the blueprint of this role.
There is a growth plan within the organisation which will see a step change in the firms use of data and the integrity around not only where the numbers are reported from, but also who will have access to them in a decision chain.
This is a role which will give you an all-encompassing view of the business and it will have an active base in the real-time business delivery information.
This is a role which is positioned to take you away from “The Numbers” and have you engaged in the businesses growth strategies for the future.
The Commerciality of this role pivot around a high level of Analytical Skills within Excel and highly effective communicative skills. You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of a reporting suite which will be to a senior stakeholder group, who are not all from a finance background. Therefore your communicative skills will be utilised here.
My client is a SME turnover business with a growth strategy which will see their growth achieve unprecedented growth. This growth will be supported through a twofold strategy of mergers & acquisitions and cash investment through CVC Capital.
Founded in 1995, our client has continued to be at the cutting edge of the Manchester Tech Movement, and are proud to have been recognised in the Sunday Times Great Places to Work.
