Job summary

Talentedge in London is partnering with a market-leading FinTech to appoint a Director of Financial Control. You will own financial reporting, control, tax, FinOps, and automation, leading a high-calibre team reporting to the CFO.

You will drive AI-enabled processes, oversee statutory reporting and audits, and shape data architecture on a single source of truth, while partnering with external stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified with PQE in FCA regulated environment.
• Strong technical accounting foundation and attention to detail.
• Leadership experience leading from the front and developing teams.
• Experience with AI forward finance transformation and data lakes/warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Own financial reporting, control, tax and FinOps.
• Lead statutory reporting and annual audit processes.
• Manage relationships with external partners and advisors.
• Prepare accounting memos and control-environment reporting for Audit Committee.
• Provide strategic leadership over day-to-day FinOps including payroll, AP/AR.
• Define data and systems architecture for finance as a single source of truth.
• Drive automation and tooling improvements within the team.
