Methodist Ministers’ Housing Society (MMHS) provides quality housing and associated services for Methodist Church ministers and their spouses/partners. They support around 650 ministerial households across the UK, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands. MMHS's income is mainly generated through rents and investments. The organisation is expanding its mission with new initiatives planned for 2026.
As the Director of Finance, ICT and Investments, you will shape MMHS’s financial strategy, support decision-making, and be part of the senior leadership team. Your responsibilities include developing financial plans, overseeing financial systems, managing monthly accounts, budgets, forecasts, audits, and identifying financial opportunities and challenges. You will also lead transformation projects in ICT, modernising technology infrastructure, overseeing cloud migration, data analytics, cybersecurity, and managing relationships with external providers. Additionally, you will work with investment managers to align the investment portfolio with organisational goals.
The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, or equivalent) with leadership experience. Experience or interest in investments is advantageous. You should possess stakeholder engagement skills, embrace change, foster continuous improvement, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Empathy with MMHS’s values, including high standards of care, professionalism, and a Christian ethos, is essential.
