As the Finance Director - AI Acceleration & Value Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in helping to articulate and accelerate the adoption of AI across the Group. Working with the SVP for AI Acceleration, you will closely partner with them on a wide scope of topics that will ultimately help GSK move quicker to adopt new digital technologies that underpin our digital plan. In addition to this, you will be critical to the narrative regarding business outcomes that result from investments in digital and technological advancements (specifically Gen AI and AIML capabilities). You will be responsible for ensuring that the value generated from these investments is quantified and effectively communicated, showcasing GSK's commitment to innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance partner to the SVP of AI Acceleration: Operate as the SVP's CFO, engaging in all topics that will result in AI accelerated adoption across the Group (e.g., deployment approaches, prioritization of investments, operating model decisions).
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure financial strategies align with the company's broader goals and AI vision.
  • Be the single point of contact for finance for the function, and drive investment, financial performance, and forecasting.

Develop and Implement AI Value Assurance Framework:

  • Design and implement a robust value assurance framework that aligns with GSK's strategic objectives and digital transformation goals, ensuring measurement of both short-term and long-term financial benefits.
  • Agree on performance metrics and calculations to measure the value generated from digital and tech investments in priority AI areas.
  • Ensure the framework is adaptable to various digital and technology initiatives across the enterprise.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with finance (including FLT), technology, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified view on value creation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the SVP of AI Acceleration and other senior leaders, offering expert financial advice and insights on operational and strategic decisions.
  • Work with finance and non-finance teams to ensure financial aspects of AI and GenAI initiatives are well-understood and supported organization-wide.

Build high-trust, high-challenge relationships with key senior stakeholder groups within business units, Digital & Tech, and Finance. Play an active leadership role by challenging and uniting multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Why you?

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified professional accountancy qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA).
  • Significant progressive experience in finance partnering leadership roles, working with senior non-finance stakeholders daily.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and drive change (e.g., leading multi-business unit programs, extensive network across GSK's business units).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Experience in defining KPIs that underpin business process outcomes.
