Your NewpanyThispany has a long-standing reputation for high-performance products and innovations in equipment manufacturing. Thepany has operations in Canada and the US and is part of a global organization with its North American head office located in Peterborough.

Your New Role

As the Director of Finance, you will lead the accounting and finance operations for thepany's Canada and US operations. Reporting to the VP Finance located overseas, you will oversee a team of 10, including a Controller, AR, AP, general accounting, and analysis. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Develop and implement financial strategies to support thepany's goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  3. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the publicly traded parentpany, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  4. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment withpany goals.
  5. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  6. Ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws and manage treasury functions, including cash flow management and investment strategies.
  7. Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
  8. Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
What You’ll Need to Succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA designation.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations, treasury management, and financial reporting for publicly tradedpanys.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
What You’ll Get in Return

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of $150,000-$180,000, 4 weeks’ vacation, benefits, a 20% bonus, and a 5% RSP match. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home, with a preference for 4 days in the office during the first 3 months.
