Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting on behalf of a growing multi-site organisation in Oxfordshire seeking a Director of Estates and HR to shape strategy and lead HR, estates, IT and operations.

You will oversee budgets, drive transformation, onboard new sites, and build high-performing teams while ensuring compliance and strong stakeholder engagement at executive level.

This role offers hybrid working, significant autonomy, and the chance to influence long-term strategy across the education sector.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operational functions at a strategic level.
• Strong HR leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Estates management, ideally in a Multi-Academy Trust environment.
• Track record of delivering organisational growth, transformation or large-scale projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication at board/executive level.
• Strong leadership capability, with experience developing high-performing teams.
• Commercial acumen with a people-focused approach.
• Autonomous and proactive in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of people, estates and digital strategies across the organisation.
• Drive growth through onboarding new sites and expansion initiatives.
• Provide leadership to HR, IT and operations teams.
• Oversee estates and facilities to ensure safe, compliant environments.
• Lead organisational change and continuous improvement programmes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, health & safety requirements.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Contribute as a key member of the executive leadership team.
