Job summary

The Diocese of Brentwood is seeking a Director of Education to lead Catholic education across its network of 90 schools, guiding the mission with the Bishop and coordinating with regional authorities. The role is based at Cathedral House, Brentwood, with a hybrid working pattern allowing three days in the office.

Successful candidates will have extensive leadership experience in education, a deep understanding of Catholic education in this country, and the ability to build trust and collaborate

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in an education context at senior level.
• Strong understanding of Catholic education structure in the UK.
• Ability to build trust and collaborate with multiple schools and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement the Bishop’s vision for Catholic education within the Diocese.
• Engage with authorities, ESFA and Ofsted to support schools and staff.
• Lead and co-create an authentically Catholic educational landscape for the future.
