Job summary

FindCore is recruiting a Director (Building Surveying) in Glasgow with hybrid working. You will lead the Building Surveying service, nurture client relationships, and drive business growth while overseeing project delivery and a developing team.

You will bring MRICS status and a Building Surveying degree, with substantial consultancy experience at senior leadership levels, and you will work closely with the leadership team on strategic plans.

Qualifications

• MRICS Chartered status and degree in Building Surveying are required.
• Significant Building Surveying experience within a consultancy or multidisciplinary environment.
• Proven track record at Director/Associate Director level or senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Building Surveying service with autonomy.

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a leading multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy with the recruitment of a Director (Building Surveying).

Location: Glasgow | Hybrid working

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Following significant investment, the consultancy has ambitious expansion plans across Building Surveying.

This is an opportunity to lead and develop the consultancy’s Building Surveying service, with autonomy to strengthen client relationships, support business growth and develop a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and growth of the Building Surveying service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Oversee the delivery of a varied range of projects and professional services.
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues.
• Manage team resources, workload and overall performance.
• Identify new business opportunities and support wider consultancy initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of quality and client service.
• Work with the leadership team to support the consultancy’s long-term plans.

Skills & Experience

• MRICS Chartered status and a degree in Building Surveying or a related construction or property discipline.
• Significant Building Surveying experience within a consultancy or multidisciplinary professional environment.
• Experience at Director, Associate Director or senior leadership level.
• Strong technical knowledge across Building Surveying and project delivery.
• Experience developing client relationships and securing new business.
• Ability to lead, support and develop a team.
• Commercial awareness, including an understanding of fees, resources and profitability.
• Good knowledge of relevant building regulations and statutory requirements.
• Strong communication, leadership and client management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
