Director, Medical Strategy Lead - Cardiovascular

IQVIA Cardiovascular Center of Excellence, a hub of cardiovascular clinical innovation, is looking for exceptional Board-Certified physicians to join as Medical Strategy Leads to expand our cardiovascular portfolio and advance this dynamic area of clinical development.

The Cardiovascular Medical Strategy Lead is a subject matter expert with experience in clinical research and trials, championing cardiovascular initiatives across IQVIA.

The role involves driving growth through scientific and clinical expertise, leveraging IQVIA data and resources to develop innovative, data-driven, and patient-centered solutions for cardiovascular trials.

The Medical Strategy Lead will provide senior clinical and scientific expertise, collaborate with indication-specific teams, and support early engagement business development activities, guiding sponsors in cardiovascular development.

They will also drive thought leadership activities, including presentations, publications, and interactions with the scientific community.

Responsibilities
  • Create innovative, evidence-based, and patient-centered strategies for cardiovascular trials, addressing specific client needs.
  • Partner with Medical Strategy, Operations, Sales, and other teams to secure new business and include cardiovascular elements in proposals.
  • Provide scientific, clinical, and operational advice during proposal development, including protocol design, data mining, and market analysis.
  • Support customer meetings and bid defenses, preparing teams and content to effectively convey cardiovascular strategies.
  • Participate in business development, including presentations to prospective clients and at professional meetings.
  • Stay informed on industry pipeline, scientific, and business landscape; support due diligence research.
Requirements

Scientific and Research Qualifications and Experience

  • Cardiologist with degree from an accredited, recognized institution.
  • At least 2 years of clinical research experience, including operational delivery or drug development.
  • Robust knowledge of scientific, clinical, regulatory, and commercial landscape in cardiovascular.
  • Excellent consultation skills, initiative, and flexibility.
  • Deep understanding of clinical research regulatory requirements (GCP, ICH).
  • Ability to understand customer needs, negotiate solutions, and assess impacts.
  • Strong clinical research commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered development.

Professional Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English.
  • Leadership skills, ability to work independently and lead virtual teams.
