Position Overview

The Medical Market Lead (MML) is a strategic leadership role responsible for enhancing collaboration between WW teams and regional markets. The MML acts as a liaison and catalyst, bridging WW and regional medical teams to align efforts and achieve disease area objectives. The role also involves embedding market launch excellence capabilities aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead bi-directional communication between WW and regional medical teams, addressing needs and evidence gaps.
  2. Identify and resolve market-specific roadblocks by managing communication between WW functions and regional teams.
  3. Provide strategic guidance and tailored support to ensure effective local execution.
  4. Foster collaboration and share best practices across geographical boundaries.
  5. Highlight data gaps and evidence needs, advising on their impact on medical plans.
  6. Identify opportunities for collaborative studies and innovative platforms aligned with evidence gaps.
  7. Build relationships with WW cross-functional partners to ensure seamless operations.
  8. Partner with Disease Area Medical Product Leads to ensure deliverables are met.
  9. Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reports in collaboration with Medical Analytics.
  10. Enhance Market Medical Launch Excellence capabilities.
  11. Identify launch needs, assess risks and opportunities, and escalate as needed.
  12. Ensure execution of launch strategies and monitor KPIs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • MD, PhD, or PharmD
  • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in Medical Affairs at global, regional, or market levels
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular and Immunology preferred
  • Experience with market or global product launches
  • Understanding of research, drug development, RWE, and data communication
  • Proven ability to lead influence-based initiatives and build networks
  • Successful track record in matrix environments
  • Highly organized, analytical, solution-oriented, with excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently
