Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Portfolio External Insights Director to own analysis of the R&D portfolio and external benchmarking. You will translate complex data into an evidence-based view for senior leadership to guide portfolio decisions and external communications.

Lead analytics across R&D productivity, external data sources, and decision science, partnering with Finance, IR, and Strategy to surface external pressure points and inform strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biological sciences, pharmacology, or a relevant quantitative/financial field.
Progressive experience in biopharma R&D/portfolio analytics, decision science, Investment Banking, or Investor Relations in pharma or healthcare consulting.
Deep expertise in pharmaceutical R&D processes and portfolio analytics.
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead analysis and interpretation of the R&D portfolio in partnership with reporting and benchmarking teams.
Synthesize outside-in views from broker/analyst research, consensus estimates, and external benchmarks.
Own the selection and interpretation of external data sources for portfolio decision-making.
