Position Overview

As Director of Sales, your primary responsibility is to oversee the buying and selling of commercial aircraft engine components, focusing on engines manufactured by CFMI, GE, Pratt & Whitney, and IAE International Aero Engines. You will collaborate with airlines, MROs, leasing companies, manufacturers, and industry professionals to drive successful transactions. This role requires a deep understanding of aviation industry dynamics, market trends, and regulatory requirements specific to these engine manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieve regional sales goals in collaboration with Product Line and Sales leadership.
  2. Drive market expansion through strategic initiatives.
  3. Monitor industry trends, pricing, and supply/demand fluctuations and risk.
  4. Ensure accurate ERP documentation of sales/quote transactions per company requirement.
  5. Assess economic and regulatory factors impacting the regional aviation market.
  6. Identify client needs and provide tailored solutions against acquisition strategy.
  7. Complete engine or component transactions from sourcing to closure.
  8. Strengthen Stratton Aviation’s industry presence at trade shows.
  9. Support cross-functional teams, including Quality Control and Logistics.
  10. Perform additional duties as required by management.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering preferred and/or related field experience.
  • Experience: 5–10 years in the aviation industry with a focus on engine-related sales role.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of aviation industry dynamics and regulatory frameworks on a regional level.
  • Negotiation & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for client management and deal structuring.
  • Analytical Ability: Proficiency in financial assessment and problem-solving.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market environment.
