If so, we would love to hear from you in connection with this new opportunity within Aon’s multifaceted M&A and Transaction Solutions (AMATS) practice, based in our flagship London office!

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

In this wide and varied role, with a focus on corporate M&A, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, develop and grow a high-performing Cyber M&A team, building capability and supporting continued growth.
  • Lead complex Cyber M&A engagements, including due diligence, carve-outs, separations, integrations and post-deal remediation.
  • Advise senior clients and deal teams on cyber and technology risks across sophisticated corporate transactions.
  • Identify and translate material cyber risks into clear commercial, operational and financial implications for clients.
  • Shape Day One and target-state cyber security models, spanning governance, people, processes, technology, data protection and third-party risk.
  • Drive business growth and act as a trusted Cyber M&A expert, building senior client relationships, winning new engagements and collaborating across the global platform.

How this opportunity is different

Cyber M&A is a critical growth area for the team as organisations increasingly recognise the importance of cyber security, resilience and technology transformation across transactions. As the team continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Director to support its next phase of expansion, with a particular focus on corporate acquisitions, divestments, integrations and separations.

The role provides the opportunity to combine deep cyber expertise with commercial M&A advisory, helping clients assess risk, prioritise remediation and define practical post-transaction transformation plans.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Proven cyber security and technology risk expertise within complex corporate environments.
  • Strong M&A transaction experience, including cyber due diligence, carve-outs, separations, integration and remediation.
  • Ability to assess cyber risk and translate findings into clear, transaction-relevant insights and priorities.

  • Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise senior clients, develop compelling proposals and build trusted relationships.
