Job summary

Pharmaron is seeking a Director/Senior Director of Computational Chemistry to provide scientific leadership across the Integrated Drug Discovery organisation. You will lead multi-project client programmes, shape the future of the function, and mentor the team while engaging with external partners.

The role requires a PhD in computational chemistry or related field, extensive industry experience, and a track record in leading teams and communicating strategy to clients.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Chemistry or related field.
• Industrial pharma/CRO experience.
• Experience leading computational chemistry teams.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience presenting strategy to external partners.
• Excellent communication and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across client-funded drug discovery programmes.
• Lead and develop computational chemistry capabilities across the organisation.
• Mentor scientists and support career development within the team.
• Support business development activities and client presentations.
• Promote AI/ML and structure-based design approaches.
• Collaborate with senior leaders on growth and strategy.
