Job Description

The role involves building and leading the Glasgow Business Architecture team, developing team capabilities, and shaping the bank's process transformation and automation strategy. Responsibilities include overseeing global and local process engagements, leading process optimization initiatives, and maintaining stakeholder relationships. The role also requires providing expertise in business architecture, expanding team services, and supporting organizational knowledge and automation gains. Governance, reporting, and tracking outcomes are essential.

Purpose of the role

Support change delivery managers in project delivery, ensuring alignment with controls, governance, and strategic objectives.

Accountabilities

• Ensure project compliance with the Barclays Control Framework and oversee controls and governance standards.
• Develop and implement standardized PMO processes supporting successful project delivery.
• Monitor project performance, track progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, and report to senior management.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Facilitate project governance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and effective risk management.
• Provide change management training to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve project management practices.
• Lead strategic initiatives, manage a large team or act as a technical expert, and influence policy and procedures.
• Advise senior management, manage resources, budgets, and policies for the sub-function.
• Ensure compliance, monitor external environment, and influence regulatory and external groups.
• Maintain industry and sector knowledge, and apply analytical skills to solve complex problems.
• Make strategic decisions, influence stakeholders, and act as a principal contact for key clients.
