Job summary

Optimizely is seeking an experienced security leader to own the end-to-end security program, including strategy, governance, operations, and incident communications. You will manage budgets, roadmaps, and executive risk discussions while championing AI security and enterprise-wide protections.

The role requires deep cloud security expertise, incident command experience, and the ability to collaborate across Infrastructure, Compliance & Risk, and Reliability teams.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in security engineering or operations at scale.
• Deep hands-on understanding of detection and response in cloud-native environments.
• Proven ability to communicate risk to executives and customers.
• Experience integrating AI/ML security into SOC and incident response.
• Degree in STEM and relevant certifications are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end security strategy, governance, and operations.
• Lead budget, roadmaps, and cross-functional collaboration across orgs.
• Oversee detection, response, and MTTR metrics; act as Incident Commander.
• Drive AI security and governance, including LLM/ML integration and AI threat defense.
• Develop and implement risk frameworks (NIST/OWASP/ATLAS).
