Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to shape security strategy and lead the global security program across cloud, on‑prem, and AI development. You will shape risk, governance, and compliance while nurturing a security-minded culture and communicating trade-offs to enable rapid innovation.

You will collaborate with product, modelling, and engineering teams to secure AI adoption and customer trust, with a strong focus on governance, risk, and enterprise security excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a CISO or SVP of Security in high-growth technology organizations — ideally AI-focused.
• Experience building and executing enterprise security programs and scaling security capabilities with company growth.
• Deep expertise across cloud security, DevSecOps, enterprise infrastructure, and AI/ML security; familiarity with regulatory frameworks and governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and scale Cohere’s security strategy in alignment with business priorities and growth.
• Build a modern risk, governance & compliance program across all functions.
• Secure AI systems and infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Lead through influence, communication & culture by building high‑performing security teams.
• Enable secure AI adoption and customer trust with product, modelling, and engineering partners.
