Job summary

Liberty Global is seeking a Director, Networks and AI in London to shape network strategy and AI adoption across its telecom businesses. You will work with operating companies and central teams to drive roadmaps, governance and value delivery.

Lead AI integrations into network planning, operations and assurance, while ensuring safe, scalable deployment and strong governance across projects and partners. A strategic leader who can navigate complexity and cultures.

Qualifications

• Experience applying AI/ML/AIOps in telecom networks.
• Knowledge of network architecture including 5G standalone and RAN.
• Understanding of AI governance, model lifecycle, telemetry and data pipelines.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for senior stakeholders.
• Experience defining technical standards across multiple entities.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-country collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop network and AI strategy, architecture principles and roadmaps with senior leaders and operating companies.
• Establish and lead governance frameworks to identify, prioritise and implement high-value initiatives.
• Lead integration of AI/ML into network planning, operations, optimisation and maintenance.
• Identify, assess and scale AI use cases to improve network performance and operations.
• Shape safe, governed AI adoption with ownership, auditability and production controls.
• Partner with Security, Data and AI governance to manage AI deployment risks.
• Evaluate technology partners and vendors to support informed investment decisions.
• Build strong partnerships across operating companies and central teams for consistent standards.
