Job summary

Creed Medical in Essex is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, encourage independence, and promote community involvement in a supportive team environment.

The role requires current CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain after hire, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in direct care is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate approach with patience and a desire to help others.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community outings.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care tasks, meal preparation, and household duties.
• Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social activities.
• Implement individualized care plans, documenting progress and reporting any changes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement, building trusting relationships.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean living environment for clients.
