Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking a Direct Support Associate to join our Community Based Services team. The role supports individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs in residential homes, with 1st and 2nd shifts, full and part-time options.

Pay is $24.00/hour, with opportunities for NADSP training to become a certified Direct Support Professional, enabling career advancement and pay increases. Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience providing direct support or direct care preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration.
• Assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support.
• Support household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Accompany individuals on outings to daily activities, appointments, and community events.
• Follow each individual's care plan.
• Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

Easterseals NH is looking for a Direct Support Associate (DSA) to join our Community Based Services team! This program supports individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs living within our residential homes.

Schedule: Full time and part time schedules available; 1st and 2nd shifts. We offer various scheduling options. Let us know what works best for you!

Pay: $24.00/hour. Opportunity to attend paid internal NADSP training to become a certified Direct Support Professional which leads to career advancement and pay increases.

The Direct Support Associate will support in promoting independence, creating a safe environment, and providing companionship to clients in a residential home setting.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration


• Assisting with lifting, transferring, and mobility support


• Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry


• Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events


• Follow each individuals care plan


• All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety


• Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet


• Other duties as needed or assigned

• High School Diploma or GED


• Must be 18 years of age or older


• Experience providing direct support or direct care (preferred)


• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
