Job summary

The Diocese of Portsmouth is seeking a Development & Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising activity across the Diocese, with a focus on parish fundraising, grants, planned giving, and digital giving. You will work with parish priests and finance teams to build a stronger culture of giving and ensure sustainable income for mission and heritage.

Qualifications

• Experienced fundraising professional with a track record of building donor relationships.
• Ability to lead and coordinate fundraising across a diocese.
• Strong knowledge of Gift Aid compliance and modern giving methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising activity across the Diocese, focusing on parish fundraising and major appeals.
• Support parishes to strengthen regular giving and diversify income sources.
• Drive digital and contactless giving, legacy administration and stewardship programmes.
• Collaborate with parish priests, volunteers and finance teams to promote best fundraising practices.
