Nellsar is recruiting a Dining Assistant for The Old Downs Residential Care Home in Dartford, Kent. You will help residents at mealtimes and ensure a high-quality, comfortable dining experience.

Contracted hours are 30 per week with every other weekend off, at an hourly rate of £13, plus enhanced DBS paid by the company and a comprehensive induction with funded qualifications. You will join a supportive team and have access to pension, refer-a-friend scheme, 5.6 weeks annual leave and uniforms.

You will have the opportunity to excel

Whilst: The Dining Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Under the direction of the Catering Team to assist with meals for the residents.
• Assisting in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner.
• Liaising with care staff, residents, and visitors in a polite and person-centred way.
• Together with the Catering Team, to ensure a high standard of food preparation is maintained and to implement the requirements as set out by the Food Safety Act 1990.
• Ensuring a refreshments trolley is prepared and offered to residents and guests throughout the day.
• Maintaining the hydration station & ensuring it is well stocked.
• Preparing the tea trolley and supporting residents during the tea rounds.
